New systems ...improove or disaster ???

Transantiago is the new public transport system created in 2007 by our government. Its finality was to avoid bus races in the streets because they produced many accidents. Another reason why this system was implemented is because of a few people own those companies used to have a kind of a monopoly.

The supposed benefits this new transport system would carry to the community were, firstly, less time traveling, secondly, more comfortable machines, thirdly, less air contamination and, finally, less money used in tickets.

This new system consists in having different buses to determined areas of Santiago. If you want to travel from one point to another of different area of Santiago you have to change from one bus to another. You can make 3 bus changes in a route through a period of 2 hours paying only one ticket, these changes cost $400 for adults and $130 for students.

The main problem of this new transport system is that it’s too expensive to our government, because now the ticket costs less than the real price. But if they increase the cost of it, people that use Transantiago will protest a lot against it. Another problem it has it’s that people who travel long distances have to make a lot of changes through their daily routes and that’s very annoying for them.

My favourite country ....

Spain is my favorite country in the world; I’ve wanted to visit it since I was a very little girl when my grandmother told me that we had Spanish roots. But, some years after my grandmother spoke to me, I watched on a TV show some parties that Spain has and I loved one especially that that takes place in August. It is called the Tomatina.
This is a harmless war that takes place in Buñol, Valencia. This party began 60 years ago. This party/war has only two rules, the first one is that before you throw a tomato, the only weapon you are provided with, you have to squash it, and the second rule is that you have to wear white clothes to go to the party. This last rule is because the goal is to, have fun obviously, and turn all your clothes red with the tomatoes juice.
Another place of Spain I want to visits is Barcelona, because of all the beautiful buildings that this city has. The Sagrada Familia church, the Agbar tower, and the amazing park Güel, with all its sculptures and views.
Finally, something you can’t forget is to visit la Rioja, the vineyard region of Spain. Some people say that their wines are fantastic, other say that Chilean wines are the best, but I think that everyone has to make their own opinions, so definitely I will visit it someday when I travel to Spain.

My 3rd semester in university....

The best class I have last term was psicopatología, this subject was about mind pathologies, we have class in university and in the psychiatric hospital, and those ones were the best of all. There we saw patients, psychiatric patients that have control that day, their stories were fascinating. My other subjects were Theory and systems, Statistics, Developing psychology, Social psychology, neuropsychology, entertaining dance, English and salsa, but the last one was not a curricular one.

Statistics was the worst, I get bored every class I reach the classroom, and when I achieve that, begin the fight with the lethargy the teacher’s voice produced. Besides that, we have assistant classes after lunch on Fridays!!! So it was very hard to get into those assistances. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I have entertaining dance with Kika, Jo, Vale, Su, Ivonne, Paloma, Juby and Tamar. There I get a lot of fun first of all because I were with y best university friends, other reason is that I like practice sports but what I really love is dancing, so I really enjoy those classes. Other dance classes I’ve take was salsa, where we dance casino salsa, that’s a kind of salsa that is danced in group. Salsa is the kind of dance I most love, I’ve practice it intermittent since I have 15 years old.

Luckily I`ve passed all my subjects, it was difficult but here I am in my 4^th semester undefeated. My goal for this semester is to pass all my subjects without making the exams, I hope this dream came true…. Bye !!!!
