Psichology challenges

Curently I’m studying psychology, through my academical periods
First thing we heard about our carrer is the position psychology have in social sciences and the problem to consider oneself being part of science or not. This discussion involves each are of psychology and have no answer yet.
I’ve realize some limitances we have related with our access to update researches and information. Most bibliography we use in our subjects is very old and has lost the relevance related to our career, taking part of psychology history. This is not relates to classic psychology authors like Freud or Rogers but related to researches and studies we use to our investigations or in future to the treatments we will apply. Most update information is written in English, so people who doesn’t read or understand that language is in disadvantage from those who understand it.

On the other hand we have a lot of technology problems; on our biological subjects we have no rapprochement to practice work. Most psychology students have problems in school to understand biological theories so having only theory classes make more difficult to us to understand those subjects.
Another challenge psychology, which has been part of it for many years, is work for the people, with the people and not for the oppressor system. This is very difficult because its related to what we consider normal and abnormal in society, what people is sick and what people is sane. Are we working for the people or are we working to the system, normalizing people, making them more productive to society and considering non productive people or people with problems non capable to develop in society. We need to be very careful with the labels we use on people cause that can change their life for ever.
